Ingol

A one bedroom fully furnished property – £500. It looked cute. Small but I could see this place being really cosy and cheap on energy bills.  Yes, it’s over our budget but it’s fully furnished so we were both keen to view this property.

Imagine you’re in your bedroom and it’s on a balcony overlooking your living room. That’s what this place was like. Quirky. The kitchen looked brand new, the cupboards a dark brown wood. The bathroom was an beige marble en-suite.

I rang the estate agents to book a viewing and this was planned for in a day or two. But the annoying thing was that the estate would poster me by phoning every two minutes with offers so I blocked their number…

I worked through my lunch hour and finished an hour early to meet Anthony who had driven from work in Southport. We drove to Ingol, I didn’t realise how far out it was. We sat in the car park opposite the house up for rent but 15 minutes had gone by and no sign of the estate agent.

After phoning the office up, the landlord had pulled out and the office had tried ringing me all day. Oops!

It was then that Anthony banned me from sorting the viewings out.
